Sponsors Party
Posted: 18 September 2009
SWASHBUCKLING sailors, glamorous mermaids and even a giant jellyfish filled Orange Rooms on Monday as PSP hosted the party of the year.
The title sponsor of the PSP Southampton Boat Show went all out as it hosted the aquatic themed party at the Bedford Place venue. The walk outside was transformed into a seaside setting for the occasion, with sand covering the pavement, deck chairs lining the entrance and an ice cream van parked up and full of goodies. Inside was an aquatic affair as a dry ice waterfall cascaded down the stairs and oysters, salmon and sea-inspired canapes flowed all night, washed down with champagne.
No less than two bands provided entertainment – with The Diles Mavis trio playing outside and Bosnass taking to the stage inside, performing an electrifying mix of soul, motown and rock.
Guests included National Boat Shows’ Managing Director, Andrew Williams, and Chairman, Paul Strzelecki, PSP’s worldwide agents, customers, suppliers and friends.
Jo Dixie, PR and Marketing Manager for PSP and organiser of the party, said:
“As title sponsors of the PSP Southampton Boat Show we wanted to put on the biggest and best party of the week. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was great to see so many people from the marine industry together having fun. It took around nine months to plan everything from the decoration to the food and entertainment but it was worth it in the end as it really made the PSP Southampton Boat Show go with a bang.
“The marine industry has helped us grow over the last 11 years so sponsoring the show and putting on great events during it is our way of giving something back.”
