Corporate sailings, celebrity spottings and a carnival themed party have made for one of PSP’s most successful shows.

The sponsor of the 10-day event has been heavily involved in the PSP Southampton Boat Show in its seventh consecutive year of sponsorship, kicking off proceedings by sailing in to open the show with BBC star Matt Baker.

The company has kept visitors and guests entertained throughout the show, hosting a number of corporate sailings on its PSP Logistics Clipper Race Yacht, which took part in the Clipper 2013/14 Round the World Yacht Race earlier this year, and holding its annual party extravaganza at Orange Rooms.

Marine businesses also got a slice of the action, with the PSP band, Harry Hammersmith and the Flyovers, performing a live music set for exhibitors at the exhibitor party on Thursday night.

It’s not all been fun and games and managing director, Frank Dixie, confirmed PSP has received a good number of enquiries throughout the show.

He said: “Having made life-long relationships with our fellow exhibitors over the seven years of our sponsorship, we’ve become first port of call for many companies looking to transport their boats and goods around the world. This year we’ve had a large number of enquiries for transporting everything from luxury yachts to engines and we’re looking forward to getting these projects underway.”
