Business is buoyant as PSP buys headquarters outright

Posted: 5 May 2010

GLOBAL boat transportation firm, PSP, has bought its premises outright, proving that business is booming.

The company, which also provides freight forwarding and packing services, bought its premises in Hampshire for £575,000 after five years of leasing.

The firm, which sponsors the PSP Southampton Boat Show, worked with national commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), to complete the sale of the 10,337 sq ft property in Segensworth.

Frank Dixie, Managing Director of PSP, added:

“2010 is set to be a massive year for PSP and with that in mind, we are grabbing every opportunity to strengthen our position. Buying our offices in Segensworth outright proves that PSP is here to stay and well-placed to take the global market by storm.”

Staff from PSP’s Hamble office will move into the Segensworth headquarters permanently, meaning all of the company’s experts in Hampshire are under one roof.

Adrian Whitfield, Director in LSH’s Southampton office, commented:

“Our client has been the tenant of this property since 2005 and, with market values at their lowest, decided that now was a good time to purchase the building. This kind of decision is encouraging for the region’s commercial property market, as it demonstrates an improvement in investment sentiment as the country comes out of recession.”
