New office opens for PSP in Antigua
Posted: 23 March 2009
It’s more good news from PSP, one of the south coast’s leading freight forwarders as it announces the official opening of its brand new office in Antigua.
Despite the yachting sector being one of the hardest hit by the economic slowdown, the Hamble-based company is aiming to grow the part of its business that ships boats around the globe. Already well-equipped with a world-wide network of agents and offices including China and Hong Kong, the Antigua office is a natural addition to the portfolio.
This latest addition to the PSP offering grew out of the company’s appointment as official logistics provider for Ondeck, the UK’s fastest-growing sail charter company and power and sailing school. In addition to providing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in moving yachts and spares, PSP will work alongside Ondeck in Antigua to provide a full service for keen yachtsmen and women, combining their expertise to provide a one stop service.
Says PSP’s managing director, Frank Dixie:
“The Caribbean is home to some of the most prestigious racing events on the sailing calendar and is a magnet for sailors from all over the world. With our strong marine links and knowledge of the marine world, this is an obvious place to expand our business. We can take the hassle out of shipping vessels to and from Antigua – we’ll handle customs clearance, marine insurance, provide cradles and skippered deliveries. We know we are shipping precious cargo. Sailors can be confident that we’ll have their vessels back in perfect condition and in perfect time for Cowes Week.”
Title sponsor for the second year running of the world-renowned PSP Southampton Boat Show, PSP is proud of its links to the marine industry. The company has noticed a definite upturn in business as increasing numbers of customers have seen the advantage of an irresistible combination of competitive rates and first-class customer service.
