P1 Choses PSP for logistical expertise

Southampton based freight forwarders PSP continue to expand their worldwide boat shipping growth with their appointment as consultants and logistics provider for Powerboat P1.
Established in 1998 by Managing Director Frank Dixie, PSP has grown from strength to strength and is one of only a handful of freight companies in the UK with such a wide range of divisions and activities.
PSP’s Boat Transportation division specialises in the movement of yachts, motorboats and powerboats of all types and sizes around the world. The company is already the title sponsor of the PSP Southampton Boat how, highlighting its links and commitment to the marine industry.
“PSP is really proud to be associated with the Powerboat P1 World Championship as logistics consultants, and we trust that the relationship will lead to reduced costs and increased efficiency for the series,” Frank Dixie said.
Powerboat P1 is the fastest -growing offshore series in the world, and with 14 races on 3 continents this year it has become a powerful marketing platform for the marine industry.
The addition of PSP to Powerboat P1’s roster of partners has been welcomed by Racing and Events Director Andy Hindley.
“Its no coincidence that Powerboat P1 has partnered with PSP for logistics consultation,” he said.
“Getting boats and equipment to our numerous race locations either makes or breaks the events. It’s not something you take chances with, yet at the same time you have to control the budget.”
