PSP Opens Freight Office in India

Posted: 14 February 2011

WORLDWIDE logistics company, PSP, has announced it will form a freight office in India in a joint venture with SAI Freight at the end of February.

PSP, an exhibitor at Seawork 2011, already works closely with SAI Freight as part of its worldwide boat transportation alliance and will set up the joint freight office in Mumbai to give an additional service to its many customers.

Alan Rogers, Head Office Manager at PSP, flew to the Indian city last week tasked with establishing procedures at the new office.

Frank Dixie, Managing Director of PSP, said:

“In order to give our clients the most up to date service possible, we felt it was necessary to have a European influence in the office in Mumbai. Establishing this joint venture will ensure we give an even better, more streamlined service for our clients with improved information and lower prices.

“Alan is an exceptional manager and organiser and the right man to ensure our freight service in India is without equal and he will travel back and forth to Mumbai to ensure the operation is running smoothly.

“I believe that once again PSP is leading the way in service to our customers. It is apparent there is a great opportunity to combine expertise and professionalism with local knowledge to result in a vastly superior and cost effective service.”

The Indian office, which will offer both air and sea freight, will be used as a model and once it is firmly established PSP will look to replicate it in other cities across the globe.
