PSP ships millions of pounds worth of prestige yachts to Croatia Boat Show

PSP (Premier Shipping and Packing) has sent several multi-million pound yachts safely on their way to the Croatia Boat Show in Split.

The Hampshire company’s loading crew carefully hoisted a variety of boats, including Princesses, Sealine and Nordic Tug yachts, out of the water at Southampton Docks and loaded them onto the Clipper Mistral for their trip to the show, which runs from April 10 to 18.

It was a delicate job for the experienced team as they lowered the biggest boat, a V78 Princess, worth around £2.5m, into position.

Each yacht moored alongside the transportation ship before strops were placed underneath – assisted by divers – and it was slowly but surely lifted out of the water and onto PSP’s own cradles. Once the boats were lashed securely, the cradles were welded to the deck to ensure a safe voyage to Croatia.

Managing Director of the Segensworth-based firm, Frank Dixie, said:

“We had to lower one of the Princesses into a tight spot on deck, but of course our team was more than up to the job and everything went without a hitch. As always, these boats will arrive at their destination in perfect condition and in good time for the show.”

PSP provides worldwide freight forwarding, express courier services, packing and boat transportation services.
