The great and the good of the PSP Southampton Boat Show went marching two by two into Orange Rooms on Monday night (September 16) as show sponsor, PSP, held its legendary party.
The worldwide logistics company pulled out all the stops for its annual PSP Southampton Boat Show get together, which this year had a ‘Noah’s Ark’ theme.
Guests were greeted by life-size models of lions and zebras as they arrived at the event and walked the gangplank to the venue. Once inside, they were treated to themed cocktails, food and entertainment. Three different musical acts took to the stage, including headline band The Deloreons and emerging Southampton talent, Liam White. A balloon artist, magician and pop-up casino, complete with PSP currency, made sure guests were never short of things to do throughout the night.
Among the animal costumes donned by guests were zebras, giraffes, monkeys and swans. Others came as famous pairs, with Mr and Mrs Potato Head, Superman and Superwoman and 90 pop duo Salt ‘N’ Pepa all making an appearance.
The annual PSP party celebrates PSP’s sponsorship of the show and gives exhibitors a chance to network and let their hair down in a fun environment. This year’s soiree had a special element as it also celebrated the company’s 15th birthday.
PSP’s marketing director, Jo Dixie-Goodwin, said: “It was a fantastic night and what a way to celebrate 15 years in business. There has been a real sense of optimism at this year’s show and that was certainly reflected in the atmosphere at last night’s event. It’s an honour to be able to do something so fun for our customers and fellow exhibitors at the PSP Southampton Boat Show.”
