Worldwide logistics company, PSP, held its legendary party at Orange Rooms on Monday night (September 14) and saw the firm’s friends and clients from the Southampton Boat Show foxtrot into the glitzy venue.
PSP pulled out all the stops for its annual Southampton Boat Show get-together, which this year had ‘The Great PSP’ theme. The Southampton venue was transformed into a Great Gatsby scene, with Tallulah-esque girlsgreeting revellers at the door and gramophones, giant martini glasses and a glacial ice sculpture completing the look.
Once inside, guests travelled back in time for an evening of fine foods, 1920s themed cocktails and entertainment including live music, a casino and a roaming balloon magician.
Party-goers embraced the theme, donning flapper dresses, feathers and coattails. Others put a creative spin on the ‘Great’ theme, with Charlie Chaplin and even some 1920’s swimmers in bathing suits Charleston-ing into the venue.
Entertainment was provided by two local musical acts, three-part vocal harmony trio, The Spitfire Sisters, and funk-soul blues band, The Baker Brothers.
The annual PSP party has been running for the last eight years and remains a popular opportunity for exhibitors to network and let their hair down in a fun environment.
PSP’s PR and marketing director, Jo Dixie-Goodwin, said: “It was a fantastic night. There has been a real sense of optimism at this year’s show and that was certainly reflected in the atmosphere at last night’s event. It’s an honour to be able to do something so fun for our customers and fellow exhibitors at the Southampton Boat Show. A great night was had by all.”
