PSP, well-known for its sponsorship of the Southampton Boat Show over the last seven years, is set to exhibit at the Poole Harbour Boat Show as it takes place on May 9 and 10.
PSP, which opened an office in the Port of Poole last year and provides boat transportation, packing and logistics, says the move is part of its drive to become the market leader in the area.
Managing director, Frank Dixie, said: “The marine business ecosystem in Poole is growing rapidly and the time is completely right for the borough to host its own boat show. As newcomers to the area but seasoned boat show exhibitors we are very much behind the event and Poole Harbour Commissioners’ hard work to bring it to life. The show will bring us face-to-face with marine businesses, allowing us to show them exactly what we do and capitalise on even more great opportunities to grow our operation in Poole.”
PSP opened its new office within the Port of Poole in October last year, bringing its total number of offices in the UK to four. It is working closely with Poole Harbour Commissioners, organiser of the Poole Boat Show, to bring more businesses to the port as part of its mission to boost the region’s marine industry.
During the Poole Harbour Boat Show PSP will offer advice and quotations for road, sea and air shipments, export packing and project shipments such as yachts.
Jim Stewart, CEO of Poole Harbour Commission, said: "We are pleased to have attracted such a breadth of exhibitors to our inaugural event and with a waiting list for stand space we anticipate the show to grow further in 2016. It is wonderful to have PSP join us in our first year and we look forward to working with them to attract significant interest in their new Poole office."
